Olive-Drab

Olive-Drab

Your eyes of jade create a jaded mist
A toxic green aura that is inhaled
It permeates the skin down to the white meat
Tainting the core with an olive-drab hue
I was a kind man before your meddling
Now bubbling out of control, I resent
Slinking into the lime sludge, I covet
Turning all within my sightline into emeralds
Jewels that I must cram into my pockets
They must sparkle, but only for my green eyes
Though knowingly afflicted by your wretchedness
Under your rule, I am vile, a monstrous puppet.
